Amy,
I'm glad you are encouraged. We really do need each other in "community" and that's what the Body of Christ is all about! I can't tell you how many times my spririt has been lifted and encouraged when I have been around those who I know and understand me and understand the Lord. What good will toward us who believe, and what blessings He has for us!

I looked up the verse in Isaiah you listed above -- that is one awesome verse, girl! I love it, and will refer back to it often. Thank you for sharing it.

God's richest blessings to you this day, and as it says in the Christmas carol "God rest you merry, my sister!" -R

Reading these posts have encouraged me that I am not alone. I know that the Lord understands and long ago He got it through my heart and brain that HE WAS THE STABILITY OF MY TIMES (Isaiah 33:6) but there is nothing like "God with skin". Thank you ladies for sharing your hearts and struggles....there are very few in the world who can understand this pain.

Music helps me tremendously and when I think of certain songs that get me through I think of these:

Sara Groves--Its Gonna Be Alright (from Add To The Beauty) and so many others of hers!
Twila Paris- The Joy of the Lord
Glory Revealed ll- all of them!
Steven Curtis Chapman-- His new Beauty Will Rise--Our God is in Control and so many others on this album.

When I listen to worship music, I can let go and allow myself to fully grieve. Afterward, it's back to the busy, busy new life of single parenthood. There is healing in the presence of the Lord.

I sure appreciate your posting this and pointing me to the healer/ provider. I realize that I can not control my husband. As we don't seem to see eye to eye, I need the Lords' strength as I have to wait for the Lord to work and transform the circumstances.

Excellent word, Renee. Thinking back to my own experience of betrayal and loss, praise was the only thing that helped me to focus on God and allowed the Holy Spirit to bring comfort and healing in that dark time. The prayers were disconnected and distracted but entering into focused praise through singing or just naming Who He is helped me focus more on Him than my circumstances. Many blessings to you as you serve God in this format.

A good word, Renee. Thanks for sharing this.....I too have known and continue to know the healing and peace that He has brought to my heart when I focus personal praise to my Lord. His Holy Spirit brings a comfort and power that only CAN come during these times in His presence. Bless you.
